چکیده
Abstract Materials that are difficult to cut possess excellent qualities and machinability, though conventional machining techniques require additional energy circumvent the problems associated with turning process. In this study, heat-assisted of duplex stainless steel (SS) was carried out. Various heating such as infrared (IR)-, ultraviolet (UV)- hot air (HA)-assisted were adopted. The experiment used an L 16 orthogonal array most significant parameters method, feed rate in millimetres per revolution (mm/rev), depth (millimetres [mm]) cutting speed (metres minute [m/min])on force surface roughness. technique for order performance by similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) grey relational analysis (GRA), optimise output performance. results TOPSIS showed 16th experimental combination, i.e., HA = 0.175 mm/rev, 0.1 mm 150 m/min, required a smaller resulted lower case GRA best observed 15th is, 0.15 0.2 200 m/min. Compared non–heat-assisted process, HA- UV-assisted processes 10.25% 7.69% lesser force, respectively, roughness method 15.13% lesser.

متن کاملGaussian Process Optimisation with Multi-fidelity Evaluations
In many scientific and engineering applications, we are tasked with the optimisation of an expensive to evaluate black box function f . Traditional methods for this problem assume just the availability of this single function. However, in many cases, cheap approximations to f may be obtainable. For example, the expensive real world behaviour of a robot can be approximated by a cheap computer si...
